Terms and Conditions: Wedding Photography

 

Please note the following:
• Kindly confirm with the wedding official regarding photos taken during the ceremony – not all officials allow this.
• Please provide a list of family and group photos to be taken – this enables smooth progression.
• Kindly discuss any specific requests with me – EM Photography will attempt to assist as far as possible.
• The quote includes coverage of the wedding and reception until latest 22H00. All quotes provided are estimates only and is subject to change if the package time limit is exceeded. Additional time is charged at R1400 per hour or part thereof.
• Should an engagement shoot be booked and products (ie Prints, Guest Books etc) required from this shoot, please ensure that this session is booked at least 3 months prior to the wedding and products ordered more than a calendar month before the wedding. No product orders will be entertained in the month prior to the wedding.

 

Terms and Conditions:
• On receipt of the 30% booking fee and completed booking form the date will be confirmed as booked.
• With payment of the booking fee by the bridal couple and acceptance of fee and confirmation of booking by EM Photography, both parties acknowledge their agreement to the terms and conditions as listed herein.
• The agreement is between EM Photography and the bridal couple on the signed contract and not by a third person responsible for payment.
• Booking fee is non refundable should the wedding be cancelled by the bridal couple for whatever reason. 
• A further 50% of the total fee is payable 7 days before the wedding. Photographing will not commence until this amount is paid. All monies paid is non-refundable should the wedding be cancelled at this time by the bridal couple for whatever reason.
• The final 25% of the fee is payable when editing of the images is complete. No product will be supplied until the final outstanding amount is paid in full. Editing does include colour correction and creative editing (conversions to black and white etc), but does not include digital surgery.
• Printing of books and other prints will only commence after receipt of full payment and confirmation of proofs. Regret no cheques accepted.
• The client is responsible for pick-up of all products. Should a courier be required, the client will be responsible for the costs involved.
• Products will be provided as specified by accepted quote.
• After receipt of edited images from EMPhotography, addtional editing(conversions to colour/black and white or cosmetic in nature) and album layouts will be completed as my workload allows. A charge may be payable depending on the amount of additional editing requested.
• Travelling outside a 40 km radius from EM Photography’s offices will be charged at R5 per kilometre. The cost of toll gates will be added to the final bill.
• Sleeping arrangements may be required when travelling outside a 100 km radius from EM Photography’s offices. A flat fee of R750 per photographer per night will be charged and EM Photography undertakes to arrange the accommodation.
• The bridal couple must make seating and food arrangements for EM Photography at the wedding. 1 or 2 seats required depending on whether an assistant will be present.
• The parties agree to cheerful cooperation and communication for the best possible result within the definition of this assignment. EM Photography is not responsible if key individuals fail to appear or cooperate during the photography session.
• EM Photography cannot be held responsible for the quality of the images from delays caused by bride, guests, family or acts of natural or unnatural.
EM Photography takes the utmost care with respect to exposure, transportation and processing of photographs; including using professional grade equipment and professional grade backup equipment. However, in the unlikely event of the client’s photographs being lost, stolen or destroyed for reasons within or beyond EM Photography’s control, the latter’s liability is limited to the return of all payments received for the event package. The limit of liability shall not exceed the contract price stated herein. The limit of liability for a partial loss of originals shall be a prorated amount of the exposures lost based on the percentage of total number of originals.
• EM Photography reserve the right to use any photos taken by them, and used in ads , my website etc. without any compensation to the parties involved. EM Photography owns copyrights for any and all images produced in connection with this agreement, including the right to reproduce or publicly display such images. Permission to print is released to the client with the understanding thatEM Photography still owns the right to reproduce or publicly display any image. Client is not allowed to edit/crop/copy or change the colour of any images taken byEM Photography. All high-resolution images included in the packages will be sized at 8×12 inches (A4).
• EM Photography reserves the right to edit and release only those images creditable as professional in quality and within the photographer’s artistic standards. Images are selected and edited at the photographer’s discretion.
• No other photographer will be allowed to accompany EM Photography and the bride and groom on their couple session.
• Please allow up to 5 weeks for completion of editing of photos – this period may be influenced by current workload.
