My name is Elanie Matthysen and I see myself as a natural light photographer, using only natural soft light to capture special moments;

I specialize in Newborn, Maternity, Family, Couples, Wedding and Children photography.

Am a wife, photographer, designer and crafter. My soul is at peace when I am creating that special moment in time.

I have always been a girl who works hard and love working with people. 

I love to flip through albums and look at the stories the photos tell.

I have been in retail for a cople of years, after i decided to go full time into photography and living my pasion

out.

Someone  ones said that: “God gave artists the talent and ability to capture the beauty around them and show it to the world”. That is so true and more of us need to life by this.

I learnt to pay attention to detail. Looking at a diamond you see the most amazing cut stone. But getting it from deep within the earth and then getting a master cutter and polisher to create the 8 of hearts cut diamond is an art. And that is how I see myself and the resulted in me becoming somewhat of a perfectionist, satisfied with nothing but the best.

 

I am married to my best friend and soul mate, we love the Lord and do everything we do for Him and that gives me meaning and purpose to my life.

I capture more than just an image, I find it important to connect and to capture feeling, emotion and meaning with my photos. It is important for me as a photographer to capture what is true, beautiful and pure, the magic that each person bring to the world.  My goal is to share my love and passion for photography and creative arts with my clients.
